The basement ablutions are beginning to wear. But hey – I have a basket – all I need is to put some lotion in it and I’m ready for a remake of “Silence of the Lambs.”
Yes, I could clean it (somewhat, anyway), but my plumber swears he’ll be here this week.
The guest bath has been ready and waiting for shutoff valves etc. for two weeks, the walls are painted and all the fixtures are in the room. Sure, I could finish making then paint and install the trim in the meantime…but then I’d have to shower. In the basement.
Good song though 🙂
It is coming along.
Whew! I thought it was going to be a reference to the 1965 tour when the Kinks went to John Wayne Gacy’s house!
I think Gacy would have felt right at home in the basement shower — only problem is the drain is about 4′ away; that’s a lot of blood trail to clean.
I love the wall color.
Thanks! (Chose a dark color so I’ve an excuse to invest in some nice light fixtures…)
There is nothing wrong with the basement bathroom; it has that lived in look. Besides, you don’t have to ever clean it and no one will know.
I hope you never had to shake hands with the person who lived there before you! Interesting waiting for the plumber though. I have rebuilt two houses and in both cases the plumber was usually the choke point, but always the most expensive tradesman on site! Yet, it might well be the least skilled trade, hardly rocket science and with the right tools I suspect most handy people could do it and save a packet into the bargain
